Roost S LL
The Roost model is crafted for long, narrow spaces and boasts a modern exterior form with a cute gabled roof and a welcoming entry porch. This property had a very long and narrow vacant area that was screaming for a new use, so the owner opted for a modified 1-bedroom Roost to successfully maximize the available length of the empty outdoor space and provide ample living and sleeping area. Despite the narrow footprint, the design maintains accessibility features in the bathroom, making it versatile for any future renter.
Contrasting textures and a refined color palette give the unit a fresh, modern feel. Dark-painted exposed wood collar ties create a rhythmic pattern that emphasizes the home's length. The owner's bold vision—featuring pinks and greens—will bring a distinctive, personalized style to the space.
The windows and doors have been thoughtfully reconfigured from the original layout to preserve the privacy of the existing yard and nearby pool. Planned fencing will further define a fully private outdoor space for the new unit. Initially, the home will be offered as a short-term rental to offset construction costs, with the long-term plan of becoming a residence for an aging parent.
We'll continue updating as the design unfolds...
